IT was a sweet start to the weekend at CBS Clounalour for a fundraising bake sale for the school.
The event was organised by the parents association in the school who also supplied cakes and buns along with raffle prizes.
Children from the fifth and six classes were the ones entrusted with selling and supplying the different cakes and treats on offer and TraleeToday.ie can confirm that they were delicious.
“The kids were very enthusiastic and did a great job,” said Katie Hayes of the CBS Clounalour Parents Association.

“We have a wide variety of bake goods which represents the different nationalities in the school. We had great support and a massive turnout,” said Katie.
The event was in aid of getting visualisers for their classrooms. Visualisers allow teachers show books to the entire class, by placing them under it which then reflects the image onto the whiteboard.
Any food that was left over was donated to the soup kitchen on Ashe Street.
