THE Kenya Education Project Cup was a fantastic success on Saturday at St . Brendans Park FC with clubs from all over the county and beyond taking part.

Christy Leahy Park was a hive of activity for the underage tournament which saw teams from Clare, Tipperary and Kerry take to the pitches in the sunshine.

One of the organisers, Mike McCannon, thanked the many Park FC volunteers who gave up their time to help run the competition.

Eddie Sheehy and his daughter Triona from Kenya Education Project were delighted to see the huge effort by all the teams and volunteers that were involved in the tournament.

Shannon Hibernians were the winners of the KEP Cup beating Lough Derg, while St Brendans Park FC red squad won the shield final after a great battle with Camp Juniors.

Newmarket Celtic were delighted to return to Tralee after appearing at the Bumbleance Cup in 2019 and they left as winners of the Bowl trophy. Mastergeeha FC also enjoyed victory winning the Plate final.

The club wished to thank Pa Kerins, Danny McCannon, Leon Mc Evoy and Preston McEvoy for refereeing the group games and to league refs Martin Courtney, Dan Quirke, John Ross, and Brendan Kelly for looking after the knockout matches and the finals.

They also thanked the many local businesses for providing spot prizes for the tournament raffle where all proceeds went to the Kenyan Education Project. Scroll down for photos…
