SCIENCE Week took place at Presentation Tralee all week and students really enjoyed the range of events at the secondary school.
It got off to a hectic start on Friday last with a visit from the Skydome planetarium. Three shows had originally been scheduled for TY and first year students, but such was the interest by the first years that an extra show had to be added on.
The Skydome mobile planetarium allows students to interact with the planets, stars, galaxies and other objects in the universe through a full 360 degree view of the night sky during school hours.

There was huge interest and enjoyment by the students and also a huge amount of learning achieved in this alternative setting to the classroom.
Other events at Pres Tralee for Science week included the annual third year science quiz, a CSI workshop for second years, an exhibition of bridge models built by the TY students as part of an engineering module and a photography competition with the theme of Autumn leaves.
