Staff and students in the school wore their Kerry colours to show their support for teacher, Marc Ó Sé and students Jack Morgan, Eoghan O’Brien and Micheal Reidy who are on the Minor Panel ahead of next Sundays All Ireland Senior and Minor finals.
“We want to wish Marc all the best with the seniors and Jack, Micheal and Eoin all the best in the minor final,” said CBS The Green school principal, Anne O’Callaghan.
As well as having Marc Ó Sé, who will play in his tenth All-Ireland final on the team, the school is also represented by past pupils in the form of team captain Kieran Donaghy, David Moran, Barry John Keane, Tommy Walsh and Alan Fitzgerald.
“It’s obviously going to be a nervous week for all of them, trying to concentrate with what’s going on in here and balancing the build up to the final, but I’m sure the lads will do a great job and we’ll hopefully look forward to the cups coming back to the school again,” said the principal.
Austin Stacks man, Jack Morgan, will be gunning for his second All-Ireland minor medal, having been involved in the side last year that beat Donegal in the final.
