IT stayed dry and that’s what matters!

Memories of the monsoon conditions during last year’s parade were banished on a dry and mild night in Tralee, as the Roses floats winded their way down through town last night.

Daithi O Sé and Rose of Tralee 2016 Maggie McEldowney led the parade with the RTE star working the crowd before the current Roses arrived on their elaborate floats.

There was music from a number of bands, colourful dancers and some performers from Fossetts Circus to entertain the crowds.

There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout it was finished off with a massive dance in front of the Denny Street stage with Roses, Escorts and Rosebuds rocking as Brian Hurley got the crowd warmed up for the spectacular fireworks display.

It started on time, it was dry, the floats were great and everyone had a good time. Result. Scroll down for photos and a video of the dancing…
