WHILE the eyes of the world were on Windsor for the royal wedding on Monday, the clever people at Kerry Hospice decided to take advantage of the interest in the nuptials.
Tickets at €10 were sold for a Royal Wedding themed day at Skelper Quane’s in Blennerville to raise funds for a games console in the Donal Walsh room in the new Palliative Care Unit at UHK.
“We sold a lot of tickets leading up to the event,” said Andrea O’Donoghue, one of the organisers. “We’ve raised the €500 needed which is great. We started watching it at around 11.30am and there was a champagne reception at noon while Catherine here in Quane’s also provided some refreshments.”
A lifesize cutout of Harry and Megan was also provided for photos with the happy couple. Scroll down for photos…
