PHOTOS: Tralee Man Wins Hardman Triathlon Event In Valentia

THE Hardman Sprint Triathlon took place on Valentia Island on Saturday and it was a Tralee man who won the coveted race.

Having won the Hardman Olympic Distance Triathlon in Dingle a few weeks ago, 20-year-old Cillian Tierney came home in a blistering time of 56 minutes and 56 seconds.

The Sprint Triathlon included, boarding Valentia Island Ferry to Renard Pier to complete a 750m swim to the Island, leaving the transition area and cycle a 10km expanse of the Island before running 5 km back to the finish line a the Royal Valentia Hotel.
