THE rain cleared just in time for runners to set off on Tralee Marathon from the Aqua Dome on Saturday morning.
There were over 160 participants in what was the tenth running of the race. Conditions were good for the event which took runners on a route to Ardfert, Barrow, Fenit, Spa and the Kerries, finishing on Neil Armstrong Way in the Town Park.
The winner of the race was Karl Fleming in a time of 2:46:20, followed by Aidan Hogan in 2:57:08 and John Scott third in a tie of 2:57:29.

Jacqueline O’Connor was the first woman home in 3:48:20 with Geraldine Kenny second in 4:04:13 and Anna McMahon third in 4:12:04.
