THE beautiful weather provided a perfect time for Spa NS to hold their Active Schools Week and on Thursday there were some familiar faces at the school.
Kieran Donaghy, Dusan Bogdanovic and John Dowling from Tralee Warriors imparted some basketball tips to eager youngsters and it looked like they were having great fun on the court.
“We’re a health promoting, active school and we do this every year,” said Mary Griffin Crowe, co-ordinator of the Active Schools Week at Spa NS.
“The kids are involved in a whole host of activities including golf, basketball, obstacle courses, boxing and much more, so they are exposed to different types of sports and activities,” said Mary.

The week culminates in the school’s sports day on Friday where there will be a party in aid of Down Syndrome Kerry.
Principal of Spa NS, Peter Lineman said: “It’s a wonderful week in the school to celebrate sports and activity and we’ve had a variety of people in giving tip on healthy living. Children get a chance to experience sports and games they might not be familiar with and they really love it. It’s a perfect end to the school year.” Scroll down for photos…
