THERE was a stream of people all day at the opening of the new World of Tiles store at the Mile Height on Saturday.
Kerry GAA star Johnny Buckley was there to help do the honours and draw the winners of a raffle for €500 worth of tiles. The Dr Crokes captain also brought the All-Ireland Club Championship trophy with him.
Radio Kerry were broadcasting from the new showroom and kids took part in a colouring competition with Smyths Toys vouchers up for grabs.
The owner of World of Tiles, Donal Higgins from Ballybeggan, was delighted with how the day went.

“The opening today has been absolutely fantastic, we’ve had a huge turnout since we opened the doors at 9am this morning. People can’t get over our like for like guarantee – the fact that we’ll beat any like for like quote by 5% the difference. The kids here have had a great time with colouring competition and we’ve had a great response to our advertising on TraleeToday.ie,” said Donal.
World of Tiles in Tralee is the fourth store to open nationally, with the other branches in Mulling, Limerick and Dublin. Five jobs were created with the opening of the Tralee branch. Scroll down for photos…
