TALENTED artists from all over Kerry were honoured by Chapter 23 of the Irish Credit Unions in the Manor West Hotel on Sunday.
Chapter 23 governs all credit unions in Kerry and West Limerick so there was a wide geographical spread of winners present for the presentation of prizes for their annual art competition.
The competition has been running for 30 years now and each credit union had over 800 entries. The category winners will now go on to represent the Chapter in the national finals in February.
The winners, who were presented with their prizes by Deirdre Walsh of Radio Kerry, were Stella McElligott, Tralee Credit Union, James Hunt, Alekssandra Wojfusik and Daniel Hunt all from Listowel CU and Alex Wright from Rathmore CU.
The Special Category winners were Shaun Hunt, Listowel CU, Jack Sheehan, Listowel, Dylan Fitzmaurice, Clanmaurice CU, Michael O’Brien, Killarney CU and Catherine Flemming, Killarney CU.
