WELL they didn’t come to Tralee, but we made our way over the road to Killarney last night to see the Kerry minors feted for their amazing performances this year, which ended in a record-breaking four in a row of All-Ireland titles.
Over 1,000 people were there to see captain David Clifford and Co. as they made their way to Fitzgerald Stadium at around 6.10pm.
There were a number of speakers before MC Niall ‘Botty’ O’Callaghan introduced the players individually to rapturous applause.

Of course the biggest cheer was reserved for captain, Fossa’s David Clifford, who scored 4-4 in the final.
There was some great interviews with some of the players and Nelu O’Doherty gave a fantastic rendition of ‘The Rattlin Bog’ while Beyonce’s ‘All The Single Ladies’ got the Kerry minors (see videos below).
Manager Peter Keane also thanked the team for their efforts throughout the year, his backroom team, the county board and everyone who contributed to the success.
Scroll down for photos from the evening, plus videos of David Clifford being interviewed, his speech to the crowd, Nelu O’Doherty’s singing and Beyonce via Brian Lonergan…

Disappointed to see a thousand turn up only. I was jumping out of my skin with pride for them but due to work had to be out of county.
