Plans for a pedestrian crossing on the Killerisk Road near the junction for Manor West Retail Park can be viewed at Kerry County Council buildings.

KERRY County have published proposals for a new pedestrian crossing on Killerisk Road close to the junction with Manor Shopping Centre.

The need for a crossing at this location has been raised by the members of Tralee Municipal District and Tralee Town Council at their meetings over the past few years.

Council officials have now completed the design for the works. The proposed works will involve the installation of traffic signals, dedicated lighting, tactile paving, a kerbed build-out, signage and road markings and all associated ancillary works.

A map showing the location of the proposed measures may be inspected at the Operations & Safety Department, Room 115, Kerry County Council, Áras an Contae, Rathass, Tralee and the Tralee Municipal District Office, Prince’s Quay, Tralee, during normal office hours, for a period of one month, from Wednesday, December 23.

The Council is inviting submissions from the public and observations or representations in relation to the proposal may be made, in writing, and marked Pedestrian Crossing – Killerisk Road, Tralee, to the Administrative Officer, Operations & Safety Department, Kerry County Council, Áras an Contae, Rathass, Tralee, Co. Kerry and must be received by 5.00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016.
