A TRALEE teenager will receive an award later this month for getting the highest marks in Ireland in art.
There were great celebrations in Presentation Secondary School when the news arrived that Alice Jaeger from Ballyard, of the Leaving Cert group 2016 had achieved the highest marks of any student in the country in her Leaving Cert Art examination this year.
Alice will be presented with a special award by the Irish Art Teachers Association later in the month for her amazing achievement.
Mr. Alan O’Sullivan, Alice’s Art teacher was thrilled with the news of her success as was her mother Ms. Inez Jaeger, who also teaches in Pres Tralee. Alice is currently studying Food Science in U.C.C.
