PRESENTATION Secondary School in Tralee will open its doors this Thursday for parents and prospective students to discover the wonderful facilities and have staff inform them why it’s the perfect place for second-level education.

Pres, as it is popularly known, is a Catholic Secondary school for girls, with a community of students, staff, parents and management, pursuing excellence in all its endeavours.

With over 600 students, the school provides a holistic education, through supporting and encouraging each student to achieve her full academic potential, while also participating in a wide range of artistic, cultural, community and sporting activities.

Pres Tralee is synonymous with academic excellence with more than 25% of the Leaving Cert Class of 2018 scoring over 500 points; Indeed 98% of those students have now progressed to further education.

Pres Girls are proud recipients of a whole myriad of scholarships and awards including University Entrance Scholarships, JP McManus All Ireland Scholarships and 1916 Easter Week Commemoration Scholarships.

Students are also winners of many national competitions, e.g. BT Young Scientist, ECO UNESCO, AIB Build a Bank etc.

The transition from Primary to Secondary school is well catered for with a week-long Induction Programme for First Year students, helping them settle, embrace and enjoy their new school environment.

Pres Tralee promotes a student-centred, nurturing and happy environment where students are valued, encouraged and supported in achieving and celebrating their full potential. For more, head to the opening evening from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, October 18.
