PRESENTATION Secondary School will certainly be well represented next month at a prestigious national science competition for students next month.
There was great jubilation in the school when the news arrived that four students Rebecca Hayes, Ciara O’Mahony, Rachael O’Sullivan and Lia O’Connell have been invited to participate in the National Science Olympiad Competition on the basis of their outstanding Junior Certificate results in Maths and Science.
Presentation has a long history of students participating in the Olympiad but this year is extra special as for the first time four students will proudly represent the school.

The National Olympiad Competition will be held in Dublin City University in November where the girls will compete with other students from around the country.
Six students will be selected to represent Ireland at the International Junior Science Olympiad in Botswana and a further six to represent Ireland at the European Union Science Olympiad in Portugal.
Ms. Clem O’Keeffe stated; “We are overjoyed but not surprised at this achievement. The girls will certainly do us proud at the Olympiad”.
Deputy Principal Ms. Chrissie Kelly said that teachers “Ms. O’Keeffe, Ms. Madigan, Ms. O’Connell, Ms. Hand, Ms.K.O’Mahony and Mr. O’Connell have done us proud in tutoring these extraordinary girls in the complexities of Maths and Science.”
Presentation has a strong tradition of promoting the involvement of their students in the world of Science.
