Presentation Girls Raise €1,000 For Cuan Mhuire

THE students at Presentation Secondary School in Tralee were fundraising again earlier this month and collected an amazing €1,000 for Cuan Mhuire through a non-uniform day.

“We have a longstanding association with Cuan Mhuire, mainly through Sr Bríd who is a former Principal, now working in the Farnanes centre in Cork,” said teacher, Norma Foley, at the presentation of the cheque last Friday to Sr Brid from Cuan Mhuire.

“The girls  also meet with Sr Consilio every year and we continue our involvement to support the excellent work done by Cuan Mhuire, who now have an outreach centre in Tralee,” added Ms Foley.

The Cuan Mhuire organisation is Ireland’s largest voluntary provider of Rehabilitation Treatment for individuals suffering from addiction and other related issues.

Since its formation in 1966 Cuan Mhuire has treated over 75,000 people.  Its main objective is the rehabilitation of persons suffering from alcohol, drug and gambling addictions.
