THE proceeds of two separate fundraisers, held by a company and a local club, were handed over to Pieta House on Monday.

Con O’Connor from the Moyderwell-based suicide prevention and counselling centre was presented with cheques totalling €2,100 by Borg Warner and the Tralee Flower and Garden Club.

Staff from Borg Warner in Monavalley Industrial Estate had a ‘Christmas Dress-Up’ day on December 20 where they gave out holiday days, vouchers and more while employees made a donation and eventually raised €1,700.

Meanwhile, Tralee Flower and Garden Club held their annual Christmas Gala night in The Rose Hotel in early December and raised €400 for the local Pieta House, which was presented at their meeting in Baile Mhuire Day Care Centre on Monday night.

Con O’Connor thanked both Borg Warner and the Tralee Flower and Garden Club for their generosity and effort.
