Public Screening Of Eric Roche Documentary In Tralee This Saturday

MUSIC fans in Tralee should check out the screening of a new short documentary on the late Tralee guitarist Eric Roche this weekend.

‘Eric Roche — Still My Guitar Gently Weeps’ contains interviews with family and friends of the acclaimed guitarist.

Made by his childhood friend, Riobaird Brosnan, the screening will take place at The Brandon Hotel at 8.30pm on Saturday night.

Eric Roche was a renowned guitarist who released a number of records in the late 90s and early noughties, garnering critical acclaim.

He passed away in 2005 at the age of 37 from cancer, leaving a wife and two children. Since his death, his talent has been celebrated posthumously by a range of musicians.

During the summer, a mural in his honour was commissioned and painted at Tralee CBS Primary School, where he began his musical career. Scroll down for a sneak preview of the documentary..
