IT’S the club’s biggest annual fundraiser and it’s sure to lead the Na Gaeil faithful galloping to the clubhouse in a couple of weeks time.

The Oakpark club is once again organising an all-sponsored Race Night in its Killeen base on Saturday, November 19, at 8.30pm.

“We’re really looking forward to it as it’s one of our main fundraisers, it should be a great night,” said Club Chairman, Tim Lynch who said the club is in a very healthy state after a great year.

The proceeds from the night will go towards catering for their increasing membership and the club now boasts over 500 players at all age groups male and female.

This upward growth in playing and coaching numbers  is reflected in their success on the playing fields and in Scór competitions. They’ve had a fantastic  year with promotion to Division 3 of the County League, an appearance in the Junior Premier County Final and three minors on the Kerry panel this year.

In fact, Na Gaeil are one of only three clubs in Kerry to have had players on the 2014, 2015 and 2016 victorious All Ireland winning Kerry Minor teams.

This year also saw All Ireland Junior, All Ireland U 16 Ladies, Sigerson Cup and numerous Bord nOG medals won by Na Gaeil players.

The funds raised will go towards improving their playing fields, both senior and juvenile, maintaining dressing room, male and female, to a very high standard, the installation of floodlights, fitting out and equipping gymnasium, and improving car parks.
