A 5K event to take place in Banna is being organised in memory of a lady who passed away from cancer last year.
A campaign has been set up by Antoinette O’Mahony on behalf of the Bogha Báistí Ramblers from Tralee.
The Ramblers are planning a 5k walk/jog/run your way/in pods on Thursday, July 1 at 7pm in the Banna car park. The Ramblers are a group of friends who lost their dear friend Chris O’Shea to Breast Cancer in May 2020.
Chris was very impressed with the Night Nurses service. Night Nurses provide end of life care for cancer patients and their families in their own home free of charge and provide support to individuals and loved ones during what can be a difficult and anxious time.
Chris expressed a wish that her walking buddies fundraise for the Night Nurses service.
