RECOVERY Haven officially launched their annual ‘Celebration of light’ on Friday, where they looked forward to another special evening later this month.

The ‘Celebration of light’ has become a very important annual community event which gives an opportunity for all those lives have been touched by cancer to come together and share experiences and celebrate the lives of families and friends.

Thousands of people from all over the county and beyond will gather at ten venues for the event.

Recovery Haven Manager Siobhan MacSweeney said that this event creates a great meeting point for people who have been affected personally or through someone they know by cancer.

“The symbolic lighting of candles creates a very special atmosphere, people are united and hope is renewed. Through solidarity and light our sincere aim is to bring hope to our community,” she said.
