Breda Dyland of Kerry Cancer Support Group receives a cheque from staff from the Revenue office.
STAFF at the Revenue offices in Tralee traded their normal work attire and wore yellow for the day on March 10 for a worthy cause.
The colourful event was organised as part of a fundraiser for the Kerry – Cork, Health Link Bus, and the Irish Cancer Society. The staff also ran a bric-à-brac sale and a coffee morning.
The fun event was a huge success, and raised €750 on the day from the proceeds of the sale. Home baked goods were available to staff who all agreed that the delicious confectionary would give any famous baker a run for their money!
The impressive amount raised highlights the high regard that the Revenue Staff has for the Kerry Cancer Support Group, and the importance staff place on this vital bus service, which is extremely important to anyone who needs to avail of it.
Kerry Cancer Support Group thanked the staff at the revenue for their generous contribution, and for the effort that they went to, to raise much needed funds for the charity.
