The Meadowlands Care Package is just what a loved one needs during lockdown.
WITH Level 5 Restrictions still in place, there isn’t much to look forward to these days.
Visiting friends and relations is restricted and nights on the town seem a long way off, so good folks at The Meadowlands Hotel have come up with the perfect initiative in challenging times to put a smile on the faces of friends and loved ones.
They have prepared a gift option that can be sent to show you care with the introduction of the ‘Meadowlands Care Packages’.
It’s a unique gift idea to send to loved ones celebrating a birthday or anniversary or, if someone you care about has recently had a bereavement in their family, a care package could be delivered on your behalf.
Self-care is also important in these times and treating yourself to the Care Package will provide up to three meals for the small package or six meals for the large package.
In the interests of ‘investigative journalism’, we sampled a package and believe us when we say the recipient will thank you for it!
The care packages include an amazing loaf of homemade brown soda bread with raspberry jam. There’s tasty homemade vegetable soup and three different choices of mains — seafood pie, shepherd’s pie or creamy mushroom and parmesan pasta bake. All three were delicious, but the mushroom pasta was particularly outstanding.
There’s also choice of delectable lemon drizzle or chocolate cake. We opted for the lemon drizzle cake which was the best we ever tasted…seriously!
The care packages come in two sizes €30 for small and €50 for large. 24 hour notice on orders is required. Packages can be collected or delivery can be arranged subject to availability.
