Road Closures And A Different Ending For St Patrick’s Day Parade

WITH the St Patrick’s Day parade taking place tomorrow there’s a change from previous years to remind you about.

The 2018 parade theme is Ireland’s Most Enterprising Town and will start at The Rose Hotel roundabout on Dan Spring Road at 11.45am.

However, the finish is different this year as it goes from Dan Spring round to Cloonbeg Terrace, Dean’s Lane, Boherbee to Castle Street, along new-look Mall and ending at the entrance to The Square next to Carraig Donn, thus avoiding Denny Street this year.

From 11am to 1pm there will be rolling road closures on Dan Spring Road, Cloonbeg Terrace/Clonmore, Dean’s Lane.

From 11.30am to 2.30pm  there will be road closures on Denny Street, Upper & Lower Castle Street, Ivy Terrace and Boherbee (from the junction at Dean’s Lane).

There will be entertainment in The Square and The Mall after the parade until approximately 2.30pm and we are encouraging all parade participants and their families to stay in town for a fun afternoon in Tralee Town Centre.

Hundreds of people are set to take part with thousands more looking on from the sides of the street as Dan Horan leads the way as Grand Marshal.
