KERRY County Council is to close the road from the Forge Cross to the Abbeydorney road to public traffic for a period of five months.
The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate the construction of a new road bridge over the Big River as part of the Tralee Northern Relief Road Project.
The road will close from 8am on Monday, May 16 to 8am on Monday, October 17. The proposed road closure is necessary for construction works and for public safety.
Access will remain open for residents and for emergency vehicles, within the extents of the road closure. An alternative route will be clearly signposted.
