Rock Post Office 1

Austin Stacks are asking their members to support the Rock Street Post Office.

THREE GAA clubs have decided to support a local post office by encouraging members to use the facility.

Post Offices are coming under increasing pressure to remain open and Austin Stacks, Kerins O’Rahillys and St Pats GAA clubs are playing their part in ensuring the survival of this vital community service.

Martin and Marie Williams of the Rock Post Office have set the three GAA Clubs a task where the  club whose supporters make the most transactions in the Rock PO from now until December will win the right to exclusively sell their Club Lotto Tickets there.

The personal or work place/business transactions include collection of any payments, buying TV or Dog licence, registering a letter, cash withdrawals, investments, savings or purchasing your Christmas stamps.

The clubs are asking people to give their club allegiance at the counter when doing business. So which of the three will win?

Austin Stacks customers are requested to say “I’m A Rockie” when making a transaction at Rock Street post office!

  2. Rock Street Post Office where the staff couldn’t be nicer ..and where we all do our business fom the Strand Road/Ballyvelly areas Govt should be ashamed to take this service away from people like me in their senior years in particular ..but for the whole community in reality …a disgrace
