ROGER Casement’s arrival in Kerry by submarine in 1916 will be remembered and celebrated at Casement’s or McKenna’s Fort in Ardfert at 12 noon this Friday.

Dr Tim Horgan, historian and author, will addresss the assembly. The event is being organised by Tralee’s Tionól Mhic Easmainn – Casement Gathering under the chairmanship of S.S.Ó Conchubhair, an acknowledged authority on the Casement story.  Everyone welcome to this get-together.

It’s part of a number of events this weekend remembering the Easter Rising with a Kerry County Council organised commemoration in Pearse Park, Tralee at 12.30pm and a Sinn Féin event leaving from the Square at 12 noon.
