THE ROSE OF TRALEE has beaten Love/Hate as Ireland’s favourite TV show to Tweet about.
After being put to a vote, the festival picked up the accolade at the #RaboTweeties 2014 awards night held in Dublin last night.
Nidge and his posse of grim gangland goons were no match for Daithi’s beard and, of course, the beautiful Maria Walsh.
Maria, coming out to the country about her sexuality was tweeted about endlessly and marked a huge milestone in the history of the Rose of Tralee Festival which obviously, still captures the imagination of the the country’s viewing public.
There was also further success for the Kingdom at the #RaboTweeties with, The BUMBLEance charity, winning the #TweetieInspire award.
The award marks due recognition for the BUMBLEance, who put in a monumental effort on social media over the course of the year.
