The Santa 5k Fun Run Is Back This Year

THE TV ads have begun, radio DJs are on starter’s orders to spin ‘Last Christmas’, so what better time to announce that the Santa 5k Fun Run is coming back this December.

The fourth annual run, which has proved so popular over the years, will take place on Sunday, December 11, at 11am from the Tralee Bay Wetlands. All proceeds from the 2016 run will go to Barretstown, where they offer camps for rebuilding lives affected by childhood Illness.

Tens of thousands of euro have been raised from the previous three runs where hundreds of people dress up in Santa suits for the short route.

The Tralee 5km Santa Fun Run is in memory of Fiona Moore, who died in May 2013 at the age of 16 from Primary Pulmonary hypertension, while awaiting a lung transplant. Adults are €10 and children €5 to enter what is becoming a great tradition in town in mid-December. To register, click here
