Mags O’Regan and Deirdre Moore at Barretstown earlier this month to present the funds raised from the Tralee Santa 5k Fun Run.
AROUND 800 people registered for the fourth Tralee 5km Santa Fun Run in December and the cheque for the amount raised from the event was presented recently in Barretstown.
The race is run annually in memory of Fiona Moore who died at the age of 16 in May 2013 from Pulmonary Hypertension, while waiting on a lung transplant.
Her mother Deirdre was joined by Mags O’Regan in presenting the €7,500 at Barretstown Castle where the service offers camps for rebuilding lives affected by childhood illness.
To date the Tralee 5km Santa fun run has raised well over €35,000 for charities so well done to all who took part and roll on next year.
