LOCAL pro-life activists will join Save the 8th roadshows in Killarney and Tralee on Wednesday, July 19, as the nationwide tour travels the country in anticipation of a referendum on abortion next year.

The pro-life tour, organised by Youth Defence, will reach 18 towns and cities from Donegal to Kerry.

The Save the 8th Roadshow, which starts at 1pm, will use street displays, posters, and social media boosts to get its message across as well as one-to-one conversations with the public.

Local activists in Tralee and Killarney will also join the Roadshow team to canvass door-to-door with the Save the 8th message, and they will make booklets, T-shirts, banners and stickers available to members of the public. Four mobile billboards will also tour Kerry as part of the Roadshow.

Meanwhile, Pro-Choice group, Kerry For Choice, who are advocating for the repeal of the Eighth Amendment to the Irish Constitution and for free, safe, legal and accessible abortion in Ireland, have previously held information events in Tralee and have another Day of Action planned for August 12 in The Square.
