The special school for children with mild and general learning difficulties  opened the extension in May which has two new classrooms. They are seeking funds to furnish these classrooms, and purchase ICT equipment and equipment for the multi-sensory room and the new playground area.

Equipment for the multi sensory room and the playground is very expensive. To kit out a multi sensory room could cost from €50,000 to €250,000. Some of the pupils are non-verbal and use iPads to communicate. The school also wishes to support these pupils in our school through improving their ICT access and equipment.

Multi Sensory Environments improve the development of thought, intelligence and social skills. Multi Sensory Environments offer people with cognitive impairments and other challenging conditions the opportunity to enjoy and control a variety of sensory experiences.

The fundraiser is guaranteed to be a great night out for all the family.
