Corn Uí Mhóráin Munster U15 Football

St Brendan’s Killarney 4-14

Tralee CBS 1-10

(Match report supplied by CBS The Green)

Tralee CBS were decisively beaten when they crumbled in the last 15 minutes of a pulsating Munster 1st Round played in ideal conditions in Farranfore.

The game had been in the melting pot prior to that with the Tralee side leading by two at the break 1-8 to 1-6 thanks mainly a goal from centre forward Daniel O Rourke (Stacks) on 20 minutes.

The Green were always dangerous on the break with Sean Kennedy (Annascaul) the star man on show as he set up scores for Denis Quill  (St Senans) and Conor Myers (Stacks).

With Ben Foley (KoR) and Dara Sheridan (Mitchels) solid at the back and Fergal O’Brien impressive in midfield, the game was turned by two penalties in the 45th and 47th minute to put the impressive Sem out of reach.

With The Green now chasing the game, sweeper Conor Corrigan (Churchill) was pushed up leaving the door open at the back for two late goals that embellished the scoreline.
