A TONEVANE man received a welcome phone call a couple of weeks ago to tell him he had won a GAA club’s lotto jackpot prize.

Seán Daly said it was a nice call to get from St Pat’s GAA Club President Christy Murphy and he can now look forward to spending his €7,700 winnings.

Seán, who is married to Majella and has two sons James and Rory, has been playing the lotto for the past five years and collected the cheque from club officials on Monday night. It’s the first time in over a year that the jackpot has been won.

“Seán has been a great servant to the club over the years and played for St Pats in the past, so it’s great to see him win,” said Chairman of St Pat’s, Jimmy Mulligan.
