Culture nightTHE people at Kerry Film Festival have something special planned for families on Culture Night this Friday…but it’s a secret!

Following the success of last year’s cinema event, where hundreds of people gathered in The Square to watch ‘Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs’ and ‘The Italian Job’ on their outdoor screen, KFF are thrilled to be able to do it all again.

Moving indoors this time, they have chosen two classic family movies for everyone to enjoy, but in keeping with the Secret Cine Club’s theme, the films won’t be announced until the day of the event.

Clues to the films and the precise location will be given on the Secret Cine Club Kerry facebook page.

The Secret Cine Club is a monthly event run by Kerry Film Festival in different locations across Kerry and has garnered much praise and fans since its first event.

Culture Night is an annual nationwide public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. Kerry Film Festival Director, Roisín McGuigan has high praise for the initiative that encourages more people to engage with cultural events and organisations in their locality.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to get involved in the local cultural scene and discover that there are events running year round that they may not have been aware of,” said Roisin.

“It gives us at Kerry Film Festival the opportunity to raise our profile and present a taster of what is to come at our festival which runs from October 4-11. It has been a huge year for film in Kerry and we want to continue to strengthen the connection between Kerry and Film as we celebrate our 15th Anniversary.”
