REMEMBER the 80s movie ‘The Cannonball Run’, with Burt Reynolds and a host of stars?
Well an event inspired by that film and th era in which it was released, will take place this weekend and it’s making a stop off in Tralee.
The ‘Retro Cannonball’ is coming to the Ballygarry House Hotel this Saturday between 1pm and 2.30pm for a spot of lunch, while car enthusiasts can see some amazing motors from 60s, 70s and 80s.

This is Cannonball Ireland’s first ever ‘Retro’ inspired event. They have partnered with the Irish Cancer Society for the two-day trip beginning in Kinsale and finishing at Bunratty Castle.
Their road trip takes in some of Ireland’s most scenic destinations – (Kinsale, Healy Pass, Kenmare, Molls Gap, Inch Beach, Dingle, Slea Head, Conor Pass, Tralee, Bunratty Castle).
