1. Fleadh fun on the streets…

This is followed by an outdoor céilí with Neily O’Connor in The Square from 8pm to 10.30pm.

2. Table quiz time…

As a general fundraiser for the John Mitchels Club, a table quiz will be held on Friday  at 8.30 p.m. in Gallys Bar.

Entry fee is €40 per table with teams of 4. Quiz Master is Kieran Moriarty.

3. See you in The OtherSide…

The OtherSide event is back this Friday in Benners Hotel, Tralee at 8:30pm, with another great line up and free admission.

The OtherSide is in the form of a traditional style late-night talk show set in a relaxed setting.

Guests are acclaimed film director Bob Jackson of the IFTA nominated ‘A Doctors Sword’ fame, Kerry native Louise Galvin, who is a professional ruby player with the Irish ladies 7’s rugby team, web designer Aidan O’Carroll, from Avalanche Designs, and Danny Ryan aka The Scruffy Comic will provide the laughs. Music is from Gary Keane and his famous beatbox.

All are welcome. Follow them on twitter @otherside_event and on facebook for more details.

4. Music in the Square…

The free entertainment continues all day and night in The Square as part of Fleadh Cheoil Chiarraí. From 12pm – 6pm it’s Street Entertainment. Trad Band “No Strings Attached” play there from 6pm – 8pm.  Then trad band “Southern Trad” play from 8pm – 10pm.

5. Take a road trip…

Tralee teams are in Garvey’s Supervalu Kerry SFC championship action this weekend but not in town.

Austin Stacks are in Scartaglin for their Round 1 replay against St Kieran’s at 6.30pm. Meanwhile, at the same time over in Lewis Road, Killarney, St Brendans take on All-Ireland champions Dr Crokes.

Kerins O’Rahillys take to road out west to play Dingle at 2.30pm on Sunday, so many people will be on the road this weekend.

6. Fleadh finishes…

Again, the streets will be alive with the sound of music as the Fleadh Cheoil Chiarraí comes to a close with music all day in the Square. It starts at 12.30pm and at 3pm there is a Céilí with Uí Bhriain

The closing ceremony is from 6pm to 7pm.

7. A walk in the woods…

An event in support of the Green Ribbon campaign will take place in Ballyseedy Woods on Sunday.

‘Let’s Talk And Walk’, will take place at 3pm from the entrance to the woods (not far from Ballygarry House Hotel) and it’s an easy woodland walk, family friendly and suitable for all ages, including buggies and dogs.

“It’s a woodland walk in support of the green ribbon campaign, where we all talk and walk, where we will be changing minds about mental health one conversation at a time,” said organiser Colin ‘Poshey’ Aherne. All are welcome.
