Shanakill Centre Holds Events For Child And Family Support Week

THERE was a range of events held in Shanakill Family Resource Centre on Tuesday as part of Tusla’s National Child and Family Support Week.

“It’s a public awareness week from Tusla so we concentrated on was helping people deal with everyday stress and anxiety, The speakers were very informative and people really enjoyed it,” said Sinead Donnelly, Manager at the Centre.

All members of the community were welcome to attend and guest speakers included Tara Conway and Pamela Meaney gave talks on life choices, stress and anxiety and addiction awareness.

Maeve Ferris gave a yoga for beginners class, there was Zumba from Padraig O’Mahony and Jigsaw had a stand there to answer any questions from visitors.
