THE 2021 Tralee St. Patrick’s Day Festival parade is going online, going green and going global.

Currently, people are being asked not to travel outside their 5 Km or have any gatherings due to the ongoing COVID-19 Level 5 restrictions, therefore the traditional St. Patricks Day Parades will not take place this year.

However, Kerry County Council and Tralee Municipal District, along with the Parade Committee, are calling on all regular parade participants, families and friends to send in their virtual parade videos by Friday, March 12.

Mayor of Tralee Cllr. Terry O’Brien is calling on community spirit to be front and centre of this year’s virtual parade.

“We are asking for our regular parade participants to send us in a one minute video showcasing their community spirit over the last 12 months, we also want household bubbles to send us 30 seconds of their backyard parade full of colour and silliness and finally we are calling on all our diaspora throughout the world to send us a 10 second Global Greeting.”

Click here to find out how to send the video. The organisers are asking the people of Tralee, Kerry and the global community to watch live from 12pm on St. Patrick’s Day via the Kerry County Council YouTube Channel.
