THIS morning’s announcement by the Government about new measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has resulted in the INEC Killarney and Siamsa Tíre having to postpone events in the next few weeks.
The Government recommends any indoor gatherings of over 100 people be cancelled until after March 29.
A statement issued on the INEC facebook page reads: “Due to recent announcements, all events up to and including March 29th are now postponed. We currently working with each promoter to secure dates in the future. Stay tuned for more information.”

Some upcoming events there included Nelly, Gift Gift Grub, Bingo Loco, Johnny McEvoy among others.
Siamsa Tíre is postponing all upcoming public events and suspending operations until further notice.
In a statement on their website they say customers will be contacted directly by Siamsa Tíre staff regarding any existing bookings.
“We ask patrons not to phone the Box Office as we are experiencing a high volume of calls – this will allow us to contact our customers directly. We would like to thank all of our patrons for their co-operation and understanding and look forward to welcoming our customers back once it is safe to do so.”
