SIAMSA Tíre is bringing some cheer to residents of two nursing homes this weekend with a a joyful celebration of music, song, and dance.

It’s a special thank you performance for the local community who have supported the theatre since it was first founded more than 50 years ago.

“Our aim is to give a little back to the local community who have been so generous with their support down through the years,” says Siamsa Tíre’s Artistic Director Jonathan Kelliher.

“We wouldn’t still be here doing what we do if it were not for their support.  That’s why we are performing for the residents of two local care homes this Saturday, July 10th.  They have been through a lot in the past year and a half, and we want to bring them some joy by performing some of our favourite traditional Irish songs, music, and dances.”

Members of Siamsa Tíre’s community cast will perform at Our Lady of Fatima Home in Oakpark in Tralee at 1.30pm this Saturday followed by another performance at Aperee Living Tralee (formerly known as Cúil Didin Care Home) at 2.30pm.
