A TRALEE family handed over a cheque for €3,270 to the Kerry Hospice Foundation on Tuesday.

Paula Silles and her husband Tony have been organising a coffee morning event every September for the past 15 years. It normally entails opening up their home in Corraghlea East to people who enjoy a tea or coffee and some baked goods in return for a donation.

However, of course, this year has been anything but normal and the Silles had to adapt to the times we live in.

“Because of COVID, it was totally different this time so we had to do a drive-through,” said Paula.

“People drove up to the house and we served them teas and coffees in their cars. This was our biggest year yet and we raised €3,270. We just want to thank all our family and friends and all who supported it,” said Paula.

Maura Sullivan and Andrea O’Donoghue were on hand to accept the cheque on behalf of the Kerry Hospice Foundation and they thanked the Silles family for their amazing contribution over the years.
