Sinn Fein members joined by local businesspeople encouraging shoppers to buy local.

SINN Féin has launched a campaign encouraging people to buy local this Christmas.

They want people to think about where they spend their money and to buy local produce in local shops.

“We in Sinn Féin are asking people and especially our supporters to consider shopping local, support local businesses local produce and local jobs. We have one simple message; be loyal to your local town and village and shop local,” said Cllr Pa Daly.

“Economists say that every euro spent locally is worth €4 to the local economy. We feel it is better for the area to purchase the products of local producers and farmers, and shop in local shops especially if they are locally owned.”

“Tralee town centre has something for everyone and a vibrant town centre is vital for the future of every town. Around Ireland and Britain we have seen how life has been drained from town centres and we are campaigning to halt the slide in Tralee,” he added.
