KERRY Sinn Féin will hold their annual Volunteer Charlie Kerins commemoration on this Friday, December 7 to mark the anniversary of his death by execution in 1944.
Members and supporters of Sinn Féin will march from the Pikeman monument on Denny Street at 7.30pm to the monument at Charlie Kerins park in Strand Road where Cllr Damian Quigg will give the oration.
Cllr Quigg stated; “Charlie Kerins has long been admired and remembered by republicans throughout the entire 32 counties, this year is no different. I am honoured to be asked to speak at the monument to one of Kerry’s bravest sons.”
