There’s absolutely loads on this weekend in town, between sport, fashion and fun events. While Ballymac GAA Strictly Come Dancing and the Valentines 10 Mile run events are sold out, there’s still things you can get out to…

Friday

1. Get Energised…

Tonight sees well-known speakers from sport, fitness and positive psychology take the stage in the Ashe Hotel for Energise 2017.

The evening will begin at 6.30pm and is guaranteed to be filled with plenty of content to kick start 2017.

Orlagh Winters will be the MC for the night, with Operation Transformation’s Dr Eddie Murphy as one of the guest speakers along with Gerry Duffy, Shane Finn, Zoe O’Connor and Caroline McEnery.

Tickets are priced at €20 and are available at the Hotel, via email from teamcas@gmail.com or 087 248 6091. Check out the Facebook page here for more

2. Celebrate Valentines early…

This applies to all days this weekend, but with Valentines Day falling on a Tuesday, maybe it’s better to treat a loved one to a night out early this year.

Restaurants are laying on some great menus to entice lovebirds in for a bite to why not take them up on their offers.

3. Grab a bargain…

THERE’LL be fashion galore at a special event this Saturday at Benners Hotel in aid of  Blennerville NS.

A ‘New and Pre Loved Clothes Sale’ will take place from 12pm to 5pm at the Castle Street premise and it’s not to be missed. All the dresses are either brand new (with tags) or have been Pre Loved and are in perfect condition at incredible prices and there are also shoes, bags and accessories to complete your outfit. Click here to see some of what’s on offer.

4. D-Day for Warriors…

Garveys Tralee Warriors are in action this weekend in the Tralee Sports Complex and it’s a big one!

They face Pyrobel Killester BC at the earlier tip-off time of 5pm. Warriors lie in fourth place in the Men’s Superleague table on 36 points with 16 games played.

Killester are one place behind on 30 points but they have two games in hand, so a home win would do wonders for Warriors hopes of a playoff place.

There’ll be great entertainment as always at the complex so head down to cheer on the lads. Adults €8, U16s €5 and U4s are free! The Brogue is the venue after the game, some finger food and meet the team.

6. Support the hurlers…

With the footballers on duty the night before, it’s time for the Kerry hurlers to begin their Allianz National League Division 1B campaign.

Laois are the visitors to Austin Stack Park for what should be a very entertaining afternoon. Throw-in is at 2pm.

Admission tickets on the day cost €15 but they are available at a reduced price of €12 if purchased online on www.gaa.ie or at any of the participating Centra or Supervalu Stores including all Garveys Supervalu stores up to midnight on Friday.
