EIGHT years of primary school comes to an end for 49 pupils in Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn this Friday, so emotions were high at a special graduation ceremony last night.

Parents and staff gathered in the school hall for a Mass celebrated by Fr Francis Nolan and the pupils also received their certificates.

“Many are moving on to the Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí while others will attend other schools in the area. It’s a very special day for them and it comes after a wonderful activity week and school tours. They’re a great bunch of children and lovely families,” said Cáit.

The Gaelscoil is going from strength to strength and will welcome around 60 junior infants in August. It’s popularity will also be enhanced as the new Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí secondary school is scheduled to open in 2020.
