THE SPA/FENIT branch of the Kerry Hospice organised a great event on Sunday which raised over €1,500 for the charity.

‘A Midsummer Art & Craft Fair’ took place at Tralee Bay Sailing Club in Fenit where artists and craftspeople were kept busy exhibiting, and importantly, selling, their wares to the large numbers of people who visited the venue.  Exact numbers of visitors is not known but certainly a few hundred attended.

A beautiful painting by Jane Hilliard was raffled and won by Marian McMahon from The Spa, while art, photography, pottery and the work of local craftspeople was on display. There was also a cake sale and proceeds from the craft circle’s sale of goods also went to the Hospice.

The Committee were delighted with the turnout and would like to thank everyone who attended and especially the exhibitors, Tralee Bay Sailing Club and all those who contributed confectionery.
