Flemby NS.

IT’S a small school but Flemby NS has so much to offer children and parents can find out all about its attributes at an open day next Tuesday, February 19 at 7pm.

Flemby NS is a two teacher school on the outskirts of Tralee in Ballymacelligott. It’s a school full of diverse and enriching experiences, as Principal Paul Roche explained.

“Due to the size of our school and very low pupil/teacher ratio, we offer a unique learning environment to our children. The outdoor classroom is an integral part of our ethos and we take every opportunity to get out and about. If you’d like to know more about our school please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or e-mail.”

At Flemby NS, they believe that self-esteem, personal growth and healthy living are key components of your child’s holistic education and are integral to the primary school curriculum. They aim to foster a life long love of learning and will assist each child according to their individual learnig needs.

The school has a rich history as in January 1966, the pupils of Ballymacthomas National School moved to the new school in Flemby after almost 100 years.

The school celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2016 with a great celebration attended by many past pupils. It was just the kind of occasion which showcased the familial feel to the school, which parents of children beginning their education this September can find out about first-hand next Tuesday.
