ALWAYS dreamed of working in radio or the media?  Or are you a media graduate who wants hands on experience. Would you like the opportunity to train in an existing media organization while you learn.

If you have a passion for news, sports, research and production, presenting music shows, sound engineering, podcasting or mobile journalism then you may be interested in two courses which are currently recruiting.

Radio Kerry and Kerry ETB will be running an 8 week foundation Radio Broadcasting Foundation Course starting on September 3rd 2018.  Places for this course are filled on a first come, first served basis; are limited to 18 only and the closing date is Friday 27 July.

This course with industry practitioners gives you an introduction to the key practical skills and experience needed to work in the radio and media sector.

You will have access to two state of the art training centers and digital broadcasting studios both in the Kerry ETB Training Centre at Monavalley and in Radio Kerry.

Radio Kerry and Kerry ETB are also recruiting for a longer 50 week Radio Broadcasting and Digital Journalism course. The new course which will be based in Radio Kerry and the Kerry ETB Training Centre in Tralee is open to applicants from throughout the country.

The award winning course is led by industry practitioners, and will also include the opportunity to network with guest lecturers from media organisations.

It commences in November 2018.  This course includes a two month traineeship in a media organization.

Applicants can apply for the Foundation Course, which can lead on to the longer 50 week course, or apply directly for the Radio Broadcasting and Digital Journalism Course.
